[17:02:45] <jaheikki3> Time to start Qt release team meeting
[17:02:52] <jaheikki3> On agenda todat:
[17:03:06] <jaheikki3> Qt 5.5.0 status
[17:03:12] <jaheikki3> Qt 5.6.0 Beta status
[17:03:18] <thiago> 5.5.0?
[17:03:39] <jaheikki3> thiago: sorry, of course 5.5.1 status ;)
[17:03:57] <jaheikki3> Any additional item to the agenda?
[17:05:07] <jaheikki3> Let's start from 5.5.1 status:
[17:06:28] <jaheikki3> New packages created & all blockers should now be fixed from blocker list( https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-46863)
[17:07:04] <jaheikki3> Packages also in http://download.qt.io/snapshots/qt/5.5/5.5.1/?C=M;O=D , #175, #164 & #212
[17:08:28] <jaheikki3> There seems to be 2 changes in 5.5.1 branch, see https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/127252/ & https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/127256/ but those aren't blockers for 5.5.1 and I think they were added accidentally in wrong branch
[17:08:50] <jaheikki3> --> No need to update 5.5.1 content anymore
[17:10:15] <thiago> ok
[17:10:22] <jaheikki3> So if current packages are OK (will be tested today/tomorrow) we will release those as Qt 5.5.1 this Thu (finally)
[17:10:45] <jaheikki3> Any comments / questions?
[17:13:16] <jaheikki3> Ok, thats all about 5.5.1. Then Qt 5.6.0 Beta status:
[17:14:31] <jaheikki3> Unfortunately creating proper binary installers has taken more time than we expected
[17:15:07] <jaheikki3> At the moment we can get some binaries in the packages from new ci but not all yet
[17:15:38] <jaheikki3> New try is ongoing, we are hoping we could get all at this time now
[17:16:33] <jaheikki3> Also some challenges to produce proper src, example & doc packages for installer
[17:16:59] <thiago> can you describe what the problems are? Is there anything we can do to help?
[17:19:25] <jaheikki3> thiago: well, doc build was totally missing, Jedrzej and Lars are working on that. Should be OK soon so no need help there
[17:19:36] <thiago> ok
[17:20:45] <lars> yep, we'll hopefully have that one sorted soon
[17:20:47] <jaheikki3> for src & example package we need to create new export tool which exports proper stuff directly from new ci. iieklund is working on that and it is almost ready so no need help there either
[17:22:33] <jaheikki3> so we are proceeding quite well but a bit slower than we were expecting
[17:23:04] <jaheikki3> Unfortunately that means we cannot have beta release this Thu as planned :(
[17:23:37] <jaheikki3> At the moment it is hard to estimate how long it will take to be able to release beta
[17:23:59] <jaheikki3> we need first set of installer to be able to test & see where we are
[17:24:23] <thiago> we cannot have the beta until the C++11 changes are in
[17:24:35] <thiago> and we can't have those until Xcode 5.0 is upgraded to 5.1
[17:24:41] <thiago> I've been waiting for two months
[17:25:37] <jaheikki3> thiago: yeah, you are referring https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTQAINFRA-934
[17:26:04] <thiago> yes
[17:26:21] <jaheikki3> I'll try to push it.
[17:26:28] <thiago> and https://codereview.qt-project.org/121022 and https://codereview.qt-project.org/121026
[17:26:44] <thiago> I expect it will take one week to get those changes through, after the CI is fixed
[17:26:54] <thiago> so expect the beta to be delayed by at least two weeks now
[17:27:47] <jaheikki3> Yeah, agree. I'll update plan so that beta is delayed 2 weeks. Let's hope we can get it out by then
[17:29:08] <divide> sorry I could only connect now - what's the status of 5.5.1 ?
[17:29:36] <jaheikki3> divide: We should have packages ready, just testing those & if all OK release Qt 5.5.1 out this Thu
[17:29:37] <thiago> divide: packages frozen
[17:30:18] <divide> ok
[17:31:20] <jaheikki3> I think that was all at this time. Let's have new meeting after a week at this same time to check the beta status
[17:31:31] <jaheikki3> ok?
[17:32:41] <thiago> next week?
[17:32:44] <thiago> or two weeks from now?
[17:32:57] <jaheikki3> Yes, 20.10
[17:33:58] <thiago> ok
[17:34:53] <jaheikki3> Great. Let's end this meeting now. Thanks for your participation!
[17:34:57] <jaheikki3> bye
[17:35:10] <thiago> bye
