[Android-development] Support for android-clang in prebuilt Qt version

Hi,
1. yep is officially supported2. when clang will be better than gcc 4.9. Yes, I know is not fair to compare latest & greatest clang with gcc 4.9 which is quite old, most probbaly gcc 7 is much batter than 4.9, but 4.9 is the best we have now for Android (armv7).

Currently there is a bug in Qt that does not allow to switch to clang compiler for Android in prebuilt Qt version. There are links pointing that it is possible to get Qt using android-clang if manually compiling Qt with –xplatform android-clang option. 
 
 
 
Questions:
    
   - Is android-clang officially supported?
   - If it is supported, when android-clang compiler could be nominally chosen in prebuilt Qt version?
