Or to skip building if missing:
requires(contains(QT_CONFIG, qml))

Incidentally, QT_CONFIG isn't documented at http://doc-snapshot.qt-project.org/5.0/qmake-variable-reference.html
Or at http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/qmake-variable-reference.html

This should probably be fixed?
A number of examples use it.
