And as you may have noted there will be new 4.8.4 candidate installers available early next week. 

To my knowledge 4.8.3 was fine and so will be 4.8.4 when it is officially released.

Yes, it did happen in commit 17bea1689abc695d88f13cd15f73b0a59fcffdff

But Thiago already reverted it in 8ef339ed2fed66646f458c60b2e0e7ac560dad06
