Thanks. The qmake.conf changes were from an earlier attempt where I tried to use the crosscompiler (32 bit gcc, 64 bit target). I only later on discovered that there are two mingw-builds packages, one 64 bit and one 32 bit.

That's interesting. So the linking of designer_components with the precompiled header works for you? Which exact sha of qttools are you using?
