Here you can find the configure options used to build the release binaries.

http://qt.gitorious.org/qtsdk/qtsdk/trees/master/release-tools/bld_config

For Mac in particular we use http://qt.gitorious.org/qtsdk/qtsdk/blobs/master/release-tools/bld_config/configure_mac_opensource + ' -prefix /some/directory/somewhere'
