Choose the easiest for you to implement. We're running out of time, so I'd 
rather stick to the implementation you have and your best recommendation.

Yep, like I told you on G+. Document that it is undefined which occurrence of 
the overlapping hour is selected, period. I don't see the need to change this, 
ever.
