I'm not against adding more information. I'm against making the 
local/remote/unknown requirement more blurry. I want it plainly obvious to 
anyone who uses the API that they have to deal with the "unknown" case and 
that it can mean every single device -- we may not be able to find a single 
local mountpoint.
