If you want to offer the code to "the community", just publish it online (in a
repository, if possible... I hope your version control are not ZIP files).
If you want to make it part of the Qt project, there is no way around it: if
you wrote the code and have the copyright, you have to publish it accepting
the contributors agreement, and that's done through Gerrit.
