But if the choice is between having everything that links both QtWebKit and 
Phonon (i.e. large parts of KDE) crash or having everything that links both 
QtWebKit and QtMultimedia (nothing that we ship in Fedora right now, as far 
as I can tell) crash, the choice for us as distributors is easily made. (The 
actual situation is slightly more complicated because all the involved 
libraries have a version for Qt 4 and one for Qt 5, but I kept it simple to 
explain the issue.)

And what we ship as distributors is not really under your control. (Sure, 
you could remove GStreamer 1 support from QtWebKit if you really want to 
force the choice, but then we'd likely just readd it with a patch.)
