[Development] Is QML Item design deliberately hindering C++ interaction?

Personally, I feel that it will not be possible to write QtQuick network
applications without some C++ until QUrl and lists of QUrl are supported in
QML. The way QUrl are converted into strings in QML currently makes things
very difficult for me.
