We can fix this. Do we just need to install recent openssl headers (no libs) and provide them wi‎th configure?

?CI for Macos is still picking up the wrong openssl (it is using 0.9.8 at run time). This prevents me from integrating https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/113855/ which was requested for qtcreator.
