That launchpad description seems to be inaccurate: the Mir client plugin is 
not included in qtmir, but in qtubuntu -- and has already been upstreamed to 
Qt.

So what we are talking about here is the platform plugin for Mir servers, 
together with a Qt Quick plugin for writing a Mir compositor.
