I've had the very same issue on MSYS2 and I came up with a patch for upstream:https://github.com/Alexpux/mingw-w64/pull/1
I believe the issue involves only mingw based systems.

An example of the failure is at:
http://testresults.qt.io/logs/qt/qtbase/8586cccc071240a8eff6c5aa53a90010dae55193/WindowsWindows_7x86WindowsWindows_7x86Mingw53DebugAndRelease_Release_OpenGLDynamic/85d6b000f945a84bc84a4f01f53ac65bc05cbe86/buildlog.txt.gz
Specifically:
qwindowsfontenginedirectwrite.cpp: In member function 'QImage QWindowsFontEngineDirectWrite::imageForGlyph(glyph_t, QFixed, int, const QTransform&)':
qwindowsfontenginedirectwrite.cpp:581:22: error: 'DWRITE_E_NOCOLOR' was not declared in this scope
HRESULT hr = DWRITE_E_NOCOLOR;

Sean
