This sounds like an eminently sensible way to document a consensus: we
can have our long rambling discussions (and, when they arise, flame
wars) in the review comments; yet produce a single document that one can
read to get the current accepted (however grudgingly by some) status
quo.  Furthermore, the coding style document would be part of what I've
got checked out locally, so I can even read it when I'm without network,
