I think he meant that you can't add new stuff .. say if you have a 
iOS-only offline installer, then you can't use that maintenance tool to 
install the android stuff .. you would need to download the android-only 
offline installer to install android (which, if it hasn't been fixed, 
will install a second instance of QtCreator)

that's why (AFAIR) the offline installer has everything 
(desktop+ios+android), if you only want iOS, then you unselect Android 
and problem solved
