Hi all,

Final downmerge from dev to '5.14' is now done. All other modules are ready and merges in but qtbase merge (https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtbase/+/271614) is still ongoing. So Qt 5.14 Feature Freeze is in effect now. Please fill Qt 5.14. new features in new features page (https://wiki.qt.io/New_Features_in_Qt_5.14) if not done yet.

Target is to get Qt 5.14 Alpha out as soon as possible. Let's see if that can happen already next week....

As agreed earlier we have also created '5.15' for Qt 5.15.

So from now on
   - '5.14' is for Qt 5.14. No new features there anymore
   - '5.15' is for Qt 5.15 new features etc
   - 'dev' is for Qt6

And in addition there is also '5.12' and '5.13' branched open (+ of course 5.13.1 and 5.12.5 release branches) so merges will be quite hard. Merge path will be:

'5.12' -> '5.13' -> '5.14' -> '5.15' -> 'dev' (+ final merges from '5.13.1' -> '5.13' and '5.12.5' -> '5.12')

I bet that will be quite hard so I think we need to start dropping some merges quite soon...

Subject: [Development] HEADS-UP: Branching from 'dev' to '5.14' started

Hi all,

'5.14' is soft branched from 'dev' now. Final downmerge from 'dev' to '5.14', Qt 5.14 Feature Freeze ( and most probably also branching '5.15' from '5.14' [1]) will happen Monday 26th August. So start using '5.14' for new changes targeted to Qt 5.14 release.

And please fill Qt 5.14. new features in new features page (https://wiki.qt.io/New_Features_in_Qt_5.14)
