Hi guys,
Recently in a Qt press release from 15 Apr 2020:
* https://www.qt.io/press/the-qt-company-and-iar-systems-collaborate-to-deliver-streamlined-development-of-ui-applications
states that the Qt-company have planns to collaborate with the IAR Systems company for the MCU devices.
I have long planned to add support for debugger (seems, it's called C-SPY debugger) from IAR EW to the BareMetal QtCreator plugin to make possible to debug the different MCU's using the HW debuggers.
But, a problem is that the IAR EW does not provide the public API documentation described the integration process for its debugger to the custom IDE's.
It provides the ready binary plugins only for the Eclipse IDE:
* http://eclipse-update.iar.com/
So, as you have planns to collaborate with the IAR Systems, then, could you please ask them to provide a such documentation? In this case I can try to start the integration for IAR debugger &&
QtC (I even can do it under NDA if necessary).
What do you think? :)
PS: I already did the Keil debugger && QtC integration for the ARM architecture and some HW debuggers. So, next step is IAR EW. :)
BR,
Denis
