[Development] Qt 6.2 Feature Freeze is getting closer...

Hi,
One item to note related to feature freeze of Qt 6.2 is that due to the holiday season between FF and final we can’t have exceptions as was done e.g. for Qt 6.0 FF. So if you are working on some items that are likely to go over the FF or cut tight, these should be discussed beforehand.
Note also that there will be a lot of traffic in CI close to the FF time, so the more items that can be merged well before, the better.
Yours,
Tuukka

Subject: [Releasing] Qt 6.2 Feature Freeze is getting closer...
Hi all,
Just a kindly reminder: Qt 6.2.0 Feature Freeze will be in effect 4th June 2021 so there is less than a month left for implementing new features, modules etc for Qt 6.2
It is time to start listing new features in the release so please start updating Qt 6.2 new features page here: https://wiki.qt.io/New_Features_in_Qt_6.2

Subject: Qt 6.2 initial schedule & FF preparations
Hi All,
Even Qt 6.1 RC isn't out yet it is time to start preparations for Qt 6.2 as well.
Initial Qt 6.2 schedule (which is already visible in https://wiki.qt.io/Qt_6.2_Release):
- Feature Freeze 4th June 2021
- Alpha release 15th June 2021
- Beta1 release 6th July 2021
- RC 14th September 2021
- Final release 28th September 2021
Schedule is based on Lars's timeline announcement: https://lists.qt-project.org/pipermail/development/2020-November/040704.html
So there isn't anymore that much time to implement new features and modules for Qt 6.2. Please inform me all new module as soon as possible; we need to start adding those in qt(5).git and packages now to be able to get those in well before feature freeze.
br,
Jani Heikkinen
