[Development] Public 6.8 branch closed

We have now closed the public 6.8 branch. All module maintainers should have access to the Qt submodule shadow repositories and their tqtc/lts-6.8 branch. If you need the access or have some other questions related to the public 6.8 branch closing, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Hi!

An update to the 6.8 branch closing schedule: the branch closing is delayed to the next week. A new target is Tuesday 22nd of April (morning). Currently there’s some amount of unmerged cherry-picks on the 6.8 branch and we’ll try to merge these before closing the branch.

Hi all,

Qt 6.9.0 was recently released so we will soon close the public 6.8 branch.  The current estimate for the branch closing is on Wed 16th of April 2025.

After closing the 6.8 branch, the tqtc/lts-6.8 branches will be used instead. All module maintainers not working in The Qt Company will get access to those branches. I will provide separate branch instructions later, but in general, please remember to add Pick-to: 6.8 to changes targeted to Qt 6.8.x releases.
