[17:01:37] <jaheikki3> Time to start qt release team meeting
[17:01:42] <jaheikki3> On agenda today:
[17:01:47] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.10 status
[17:01:53] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.11 status
[17:02:07] <jaheikki3> Any additional item to the agenda?
[17:02:32] <frkleint> jaheikki3>: pong
[17:03:02] <vohi[M]> jaheikki3: ping ;)
[17:03:25] <jaheikki3> Let's start from Qt 6.10 status
[17:03:41] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.10.1 release content is frozen and release packages are created
[17:03:49] <jaheikki3> Package testing is ongoing
[17:04:27] <jaheikki3> We will release these packages as Qt 6.10.1 later this week, if no surprises found
[17:04:41] <jaheikki3> Release note draft here: https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtreleasenotes/+/691986, please review
[17:05:04] <jaheikki3> And the target is to release Qt 6.10.2 during January 2026
[17:05:21] <jaheikki3> That's all about QT 6.10 status at this time. Any comments or questions?
[17:07:27] <jaheikki3> Ok, then Qt 6.11 status
[17:09:10] <jaheikki3> Platform and Module -freeze will be in effect this Friday (21st November 2025)
[17:10:06] <jaheikki3> No new modules informed after previous meeting, so it seems there will be "only" those 3 new ones: qttasktree, qtopenapi and qtcanvaspainter
[17:10:26] <vohi[M]> (looks like the freenode<->Matrix bridge is broken, I don't see anything; hence my ping...)
[17:11:25] <frkleint> plain hex chat works fine
[17:11:50] <jaheikki3> And Qt 6.11 Feature Freeze will be in effect 5th December 2025, so only a bit more than 2 weeks time to finalize new features for Qt 6.11
[17:12:09] <frkleint> Volker is lost in the matrix..
[17:12:15] <jaheikki3> :D
[17:12:42] <vohi> back, just not with Element
[17:12:56] <jaheikki3> It was all about 6.11 status at this time. Any comments or questions?
[17:14:28] <jaheikki3> Ok, let's then end this meeting now & have new one Tue 25th November at this same time.
[17:14:39] <jaheikki3> thanks for your participation, bye?
[17:14:45] <frkleint> bye
[17:14:45] <jaheikki3> bye :D
[17:14:59] <vohi[M]> curiously, after logging into freenode via limechat, element started working as well...
[17:15:00] <vohi[M]> bye! :)

[17:00:13] <thiago> jaheikki3: pong
[17:01:34] <jaheikki3> time to start qt release team meeting
[17:01:39] <jaheikki3> on agenda today:
[17:01:43] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.10 status
[17:01:47] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.11 status
[17:01:54] <jaheikki3> Any additional item to the agenda?
[17:03:38] <jaheikki3> Let's start from Qt 6.10 status
[17:04:00] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.10.1 released last Thursday
[17:04:17] <jaheikki3> The target is to release Qt 6.10.2 January 2026
[17:04:22] <carewolf_work> pong
[17:04:26] <jaheikki3> version bump from 6.10.1 to 6.10.2 done in '6.10'
[17:04:39] <jaheikki3> The target is to create first Qt 6.10.2 snapshot at the beginning of December
[17:04:59] <jaheikki3> That's actually all about 6.10 status at this time. Any comments or queastions?
[17:05:40] <carewolf_work> note bruning is now on leave, so any coordination with security updates of webengine should go to me
[17:06:01] <jaheikki3> carewolf_work: thanks, noted
[17:06:12] <jaheikki3> Ok, then Qt 6.11 status
[17:06:28] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.11 Platform and Module -freeze is in effect now and staging in qt5#dev is restricted
[17:06:54] <jaheikki3> Those 3 new modules were in qt5.git before freeze
[17:07:30] <jaheikki3> dependecy updates running nicely in 'dev' currently; hoping it stays the same in the future as well
[17:07:39] <carewolf_work> we are going to need to update node.js on some nodes for Chromium 140-based which is still not yet integrated. Hopefully we can get exceptions for that?
[17:08:14] <jaheikki3> carewolf_work: Is there already a change for that?
[17:08:33] <carewolf_work> no, I am currently establishing what nodes are affected. I will make a change for it soon
[17:10:43] <jaheikki3> For me, this is something that should be in beta1, so if no one objects, let's take that in as soon as possible.
[17:11:51] <carewolf_work> okay
[17:14:16] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.11 Feature Freeze will be in effect 5th December 2025. As earlier, if a change is ready and approved by the end of 5th, it can still be staged in 'dev' over the weekend.
[17:14:42] <jaheikki3> And the target is to branch from 'dev' to '6.11' Mon 8th December

[17:15:35] <thiago> I'm locked out of my account
[17:15:50] <jaheikki3> thiago: sure, I'll ping them
[17:15:58] <thiago> thanks
[17:16:44] <jaheikki3> it was all at this time so let's end this meeting now and have next one Tue 9th December (I can't join Tue 2nd) at this same time
