Hi all,
We’ve chatted internally about this request to identify which of the responsible persons should be Maintainer of the new module.
As the driver and architect behind this new module, Tommi would be the right person to be the maintainer. However, he is currently not Approver in the Qt Project, and his publicly accessible commit history is a bit on the short side:
Authored: https://codereview.qt-project.org/q/owner:tommi.manttari@qt.io
Reviewed: https://codereview.qt-project.org/q/commentby:tommi.manttari@qt.io+-owner:tommi.manttari@qt.io
Our governance model provides for the possibility that maintainers are only approvers for the specific project they are maintainer for:

This new module is most certainly not a “main module of Qt”, and while it’s also not a playground project, the mechanism seems suitable.
So, unless anyone objects within the next days, we’ll go ahead with establishing this new submodule with Tommi as maintainer, and approver privileges granted only for that specific submodule.
Cheers,
Volker
