[Development] Qt Contributors Summit 2026: Oslo in October

Holla,

We have moved the topic proposals into a new JIRA project (thanks a lot, Alex Blasche!), which means less wiki-table-editing for you, and a better way to manage things for the organisers.

While we don’t put a deadline on the “Call for Proposals”, having a pretty comprehensive list in JIRA has the benefit that we can use voting to see what the popular topics are going to be. This gives us a bit more information when assembling the agenda, avoiding scheduling conflicts and making sure that the hottest topic gets the biggest rooms.

If you have registered for Qt CS and have a topic you’d like to present or host a workshop about, please use the link to the Form and create a new Proposal for a workshop or a presentation. And if you haven’t registered for Qt CS yet, then you find the link to the registration form on the Qt CS 2026 main page:

(and if you don’t remember whether you registered, then ask me).

You can also suggest topics during the registration, and we’ll see if/how those can be covered. But the surest way to get the topic on the agenda is to make a proper proposal with yourself as the session owner :)

PS: when you fill the proposal form you will see the option to propose a Goal. Ignore that for now - but stay tuned, more information on that will come soon!

Oslo from October 27th to 30th, with the main event on the 28th and 29th.
