It's not exactly a new feature, either, one could argue. When you look 
at the big picture you'll see that the "feature" we're talking here is 
that "Qt provides standard key sequences for standard shortcuts such as 
Cut, Copy, Paste". That already exists.

Hence adding a new constant for "fullscreen" would rather "complete an 
existing feature" instead of "adding a new feature".

And the whole world looks different all of a sudden, no? :)

Ups, yes, you're right - I wasn't aware that this "downwards 
compatibility requirement" existed within x.y.1 releases.

Yes ;) Anyway, we're not talking about a killer feature here, so it can 
well wait for Qt 5.x. And the "user settings awareness" would only have 
an effect on KDE, maybe Gnome, anyway.
