Hi thanks. I should have mentioned I already tried QAbstractScrollArea
which is mentioned in the documentation under the list of widget
classes which can be stylesheeted, but still it is not working. I am
writing:

	app . setStyleSheet ( "QAbstractScrollArea { font : \"Gentium Basic\" }" ) ;
