Hi,

indeed - as one of the QMake advanced users (or "hackers" ;-) ) I agree that
QMake has an unsufficient
documentation for usage in more complex projects - see
https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTBUG-28428.

Without having to edit .pro and .pri files outside the QtCreator and to use many
stuff of the "Undocumented QMake"
sites it isn't feasable to run complex hierarchical projects or use advanced
dependency checking etc.

Here the QtCreator could learn something from the old men a la VC++ - offer a
new context menu for
much more .pro(ject) settings like dirs/paths, config options, qt modules etc.

IMHO it's not a problem of qmake - its a matter of documentation and support
inside the GUI.
