There are two things here that people tend to mix. If you want a native Mac toolbar, i.e. all the features of NSToolbar including the configuration panel and so on, then yes, Qt Mac Extras is the way to go. If, OTOH, you just want a unified toolbar, i.e. only the look of NSToolbar, then it’s currently under review (https://codereview.qt-project.org/73712) and scheduled for 5.3.

Also, Qt Mac Extras is not an external dependency, it’s part of Qt 5.2.
