There will most likely be more 4.8.x releases. In fact, 4.8.5 should come 
soon, hopefully. I'd expect more releases throughout 2013.

Note that you must supply a fix for 5.x if the bug is relevant for 5.x. Only 
after it has been accepted and integrated can you backport it to 4.8.x.
