Pretty much every Mac shipped in the last 5 years can run 64 bit 
applications. As for 64-bit migration, I didn't have any at all, other 
than flipping the switch from i386 to x64 in the compiler settings.

We went 64-bit only 3 years ago and never looked back. I highly 
recommend it.
