Sorry, I checked the sources in qserialport (https://qt.gitorious.org/qt/qtserialport), not qserialdevice. 

I understand qserialport is actually a continuation of qtserialdevice repo: http://qt-project.org/wiki/QtSerialPort . So you might consider switching ...
