[Interest] qmake's visual studio generator does not handle recursive subdir templates

Attached is a small sample of how our project is setup. Just run

mkdir build && cd build
qmake -tp vc -spec win32-msvc2013 -r ..\qmake_msvc_generator\project.pro

and you will see what happens. Either I'm doing something wrong or it was
not yet caught years ago.
