[Interest] What happened to 5.5.1 branch?

Answering the subject: 5.5.1 is released, so it no longer needs a branch.

Mistake. You should have checked out the 5.5 branch.

You were detached already. It just happened that the remote branch that you 
happened to be detached from is now gone.
