MenuBar will be available in 5.10:

With regards to native support through Qt.labs.platform, I think I remember hearing that QPA is lacking support for some stuff, which Qt.labs.platform relies on to provide the native controls.

Subject: [Interest] QML MenuBar on Windows

Hi guys, I'm wondering why MenuBar isn't supported on Windows with Qt Quick Controls 2? Is there a plan to expand Qt.labs.platform to support Windows as well? I know the components in QQC2 are mobile-focused but it was recently brought much closer to full desktop support and it is odd that on Windows a kludge must be used to achieve a typical menu with keyboard shortcuts, etc.
Cheers,
Gil
