[Interest] Reduce band-with usage while cloning qt

Greetings

I'm having a hard time trying to clone Qt git repository using a
low-band internet connection.

How can I make `init-repository' script to pass `--depth=1' to `git
clone' ? I think it worth an additional comman-line argument for
init-repository,  Qt's git history is really big.
