[Interest] Home built of the "official" Maintenance Tool

Hi,

Last time I checked, the (Mac) Maintenance Tool was built with the current Qt version, meaning that users of older OS X versions get locked out when they apply the (compulsory) update. This includes users of the 5.6LTS release.

I think it should be possible to get out of the catch-22 by building the Maint.Tool from source. I understand it is part of the Installer Framework, so I built that. However, I didn't get anything resembling a "Maintenance Tool.app" bundle.

Am I missing a step? Is it even possible to create just a generic Maintenance Tool app which can replace the one provided by the online installer, without creating an actual installer for (all of Qt)?

Thanks,
R.
