To aviod duplicate work, I had searched for any similar initiative, but I couldn't find any. If you are working in this translation, please let me know. There is a translation of Qt 4 in KDE. I wish to import that translation and then continue translating Qt 5.3. Prior to this importation, I will contact with all Catalan translators of Qt in KDE for their agreement. Is it OK to translate Qt 5.3, or is it better translate Qt 5.4? Best regards, Josep Ma. Do you mean: the large process that this list is dedicated to, or some specific use of that phrase in some document? Assuming you mean 'the large process', then 'qt translation' as a large process means all of: 1) translating the user-facing strings that are in the Qt library, that many apps will use, and that many end-users will see 2) translating the user-facing strings in Qt tools e.g. Qt Creator, that programmers will see 3) translating the user-facing strings in a specific app that uses the Qt library, that only users of the app will see. 4) translating Qt documents that programmers will read I think this list is dedicated to coordinating the process of 1, 2, and 4. And answering questions about any. I'm one step further, so I can tell you what I did until now: 0) The github repository is not an option, so we need to setup the "git" option. The most important sources of information were: http://qt-project.org/wiki/Qt-Localization http://qt-project.org/wiki/Qt-Contribution-Guidelines http://qt-project.org/wiki/Gerrit_Introduction (this is the key!) 1) Clone qttranslations repository from git: $ git clone ssh://@codereview.qt-project.org/qt/qttranslations.git Cloning into 'qttranslations'... remote: Counting objects: 933, done remote: Finding sources: 100% (933/933) remote: Total 933 (delta 668), reused 916 (delta 668) Receiving objects: 100% (933/933), 4.46 MiB | 871 KiB/s, done. Ferrer I will abandon the current change (https://codereview.qt- project.org/#/c/95606/) to solve the issues with a new change. Now, I'm dealing with the new change. I added the new translated files (git add -N ). But, when i try to run make commit-ts to check in the files (as it's said in http://qt-project.org/wiki/Qt-Localization), the answer is: $ make commit-ts make: *** No rule to make target 'commit-ts'. Stop. Also, with "qmake": $ /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/qt5/bin/qmake commit-ts Cannot find file: commit-ts. It seem there isn't a commit-ts file. Do you know where can I find this file?
