One step on the way is String Freeze which should happen really soon to be able to minimize time needed between beta and RC. So let's start keeping the translatable strings as it is & fix remaining important issues. And let's have the official String Freeze for Qt 5.10 27th October 2017. I took a look at the sources and there’s currently one message that is not translated. The solution would be to either provide translations for all languages supported or add translatable="false" as property to the strings that are not fully translated. The quick way would be to the later but I thought that since it’s one message, we might have enough time to translate it. Therefore I started the work here: https://codereview.qt-project.org/209142 However I don’t know who I can assign the review to or if there’s a better way to fulfil that task. Any hint appreciated :) Best regards, Samuel -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... (they are basically a proxy for an actual UX team). we also need an actual policy what to do about P1 bugs that require string changes, because in this case "fix the P1" and "don't touch the strings" are obviously incompatible.
