Yes it does! Sorry for the silence. I requested this list weeks ago and it was finally setup exactly before the long US Thanksgiving weekend and right before Qt Dev Days. Speaking of which, I just listed a Qt Project marketing 5' elevator pitch at the Qt Contributors Day, tomorrow at 17:30 https://wiki.qt-project.org/Qt_Contributors_Day . If you are around come and say hi! You are also welcome to say hi on this list, so we have an idea who is around. By the way, I work at Nokia and I joined the Qt team few days ago (coming from Maemo & MeeGo) hoping to help in the Qt Project success through marketing and community activities. My name is Johan Thelin. Have worked with Qt for 10+ years now, wrote some tutorials and a book on Qt (version 4.2 was fresh back then). Now I mainly show up and speak about Qt at various occasions, as well as write articles for various publications. I've got some presentations over at SlideShare for those who are interested http://www.slideshare.net/e8johan/presentations . The reason for me to hang around this list is to be able to help out - sharing material (most of my stuff is CC-BY-SA) - and finding writing and speaking opportunities. Hi, I'm Claudia and I've been working for KDE e.V., the non-profit supporting the KDE community, since early 2008. I'm organising lots of events for KDE like Akademy and our presence at various other events. Since the KDE community is very much involved with Qt :), I'm interested to see how we can work together promoting both KDE and Qt. Cheers, Claudia -- Claudia Rauch Business Manager KDE e.V. Hi, my name is Robert Bauer, member of the Community Council at Maemo. I'm interested to see how Qt-project works with new partners to expand the use of this important OSS in mobile devices and how there can be cooperation in the future between maemo and Qt project. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Hi, I work at KDAB and contribute to Qt and KDE. I have written the occasional blog and will hopefully soon write more about what's happening on a technical level in Qt5 in terms of new features and patches arriving in the repo (I already do this internally at KDAB). I'm interested in seeing what the broader Qt5 marketing ecosystem will look like. On our expensive "flagship" instrument we ship a Qt-based touch-panel with a fairly rich-and-demanding interface. I've been using Qt for over ten years with a "desktop" focus (rich high-data density interfaces), and am very positive about the QML direction. I am very interested in writing, speaking, or otherwise supporting the Qt technologies at any chance I get, as I'm quite convinced they are best-of-breed (for a host of reasons). I'm typing this in the hotel at the Qt Contributor's Day, and I'm intending on being Quim's new stalker. It's *got* to make you feel good to know that you're important enough to have a stalker. Maybe someday I'll have a stalker. Probably not, but it still makes me feel good to think that it might happen. --charley -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Hi, I'm Henry Haverinen from Nokia's Qt team. I'm going to contribute to the project by looking at things from the point of view of Qt users, focusing on "product" aspects like the structure that is visible to users, product naming and so on. I'm also looking for opportunities to promote Qt 5.
