It collides with LinuxCon Europe and Embedded Linux Conference Europe, two events that not only attract part of the same open source attendees, but also events Qt should be present at. I guess there's no way to change now, is there? -- Thiago Macieira - thiago.macieira (AT) intel.com Software Architect - Intel Open Source Technology Center From mirko at endocode.com Fri Feb 20 17:06:53 2015 From: mirko at endocode.com (Mirko Boehm) Date: Fri, 20 Feb 2015 17:06:53 +0100 Subject: [Marketing] Poor choice of dates for the Qt World Summit In-Reply-To: <1602448.93bi8JzQET@tjmaciei-mobl4> References: <1602448.93bi8JzQET@tjmaciei-mobl4> Message-ID: <9CF431B7-93D3-4ECB-B78B-2CBC751F2E8D@endocode.com> Hi, +1. > On 20 Feb 2015, at 16:53, Thiago Macieira wrote: > > I know it's probably because of venue considerations but... > > It collides with LinuxCon Europe and Embedded Linux Conference Europe, two > events that not only attract part of the same open source attendees, but also > events Qt should be present at. > > I guess there's no way to change now, is there? I hope there is. I will be attending LinuxCon, and I am still hoping to attend the Qt event as well. And I agree with Thiago that Qt needs to be present in force at LinuxCon/Embedded Linux Conference. No, unfortunately, we cannot change the dates at this point. We took over the dates that had already been reserved by KDAB. It is hard to find an appropriate location that is available during October. KDAB struggled with that as well in the past. Sorry we will miss you at this year's event. /KB -------- Original Message -------- Subject: [Marketing] Poor choice of dates for the Qt World Summit From: Thiago Macieira To: marketing at qt-project.org CC: I know it's probably because of venue considerations but...
