Don't know about Jochens use case, but I have to set some switches based on 
whether I'm compiling for a desktop platform, or a bare metal device. That is 
en-/disabling some projects, or changing some defines/flags. And I want only one 
place inside the project files where I define that. Renaming that property for 
each level I go deeper isn't really nice.
