By default it has transparent background.
I always just gave it a Rect/Image background. (actually gradient)
I think that is the most flexible and best approach.

Subject: [Qt-3d] Background color on QML Viewport
Is there a way to set the background color on a QML Viewport element?
Or it has NO background color and the only way is to create it
inside a QML Rectangle element (and set the rect's color)?
