Does that happen also for a project that you compiled within Qt Creator?

Are both "Debug -> Use Custom Display for Qt Objects" and 
"Project Settings" -> "Debug" -> "Link Debugging Helper" checked?

If so, could you send me some details about the environment you use
and possibly in private mail a screenshot of the application?
