That would be awesome, count me in. Not using vi extensively myself I cannot 
help with the detail implentations and QA, but I would like to help with the 
core architecture to get vi states into our common editor base class.

What about functionalty like Ctrl-F? Would you want to use Ctrl-F there or 
trigger it differently from :s ?
