[Qt-creator] Slow startup

Hello,

Startup on my system is taking an unexpectedly long time (timed
between 75-85 seconds, constant high CPU, little to no HDD) - my
system
is a Core 2 Duo w. 2GB RAM on Ubuntu 8.10.  I normally have
LD_LIBRARY_PATH containing the path to me qt-copy and KDE libraries.
Unsetting LD_LIBRARY_PATH appears to improve startup speed a little
(maybe by a few seconds).

Attached is a partial callgrind profile and strace log of files opened
on startup along with the number of times that file was accessed.
