[Qt-creator] Cannot input after auto completion

Your Qt version shouldn't matter, Qt Creator itself is built against the 
development version of Qt 4.5, which is shipped with it.

Unfortunately I haven't seen your problem before and can't reproduce it. 
How exactly are you choosing an item from the dropdown?
