Hi Daniel,
it seems that the toolbar on the left is responsible for the growth of the app.
I've tested QtCreator under Windows XP and while testing I saw that
the run-button
overlaps the Output-button. So maybe under Linux, when the state of a
button changes,
all buttons are redrawn and the sizehint of the buttons results in an
bigger window.
I have also noticed on an bigger display that I'm not able to reduce
the hight below the
height of the toolbar.
Could you maybe add some kind of small icons to save some space.
