Hmm, I know I sometimes rely on it not cutting, having something in the 
clipboard that I want to insert in the place of the line I am deleting. 
But maybe that's a sign that we should fix this behaviour before anybody 
else gets used to it.

Aside emacs, IntelliJ and vim also cut. Are we sure Visual Studio doesn't?
