Hi Willy,

It doesn't sound normal that it's still there after you are done
editing. Or are you meaning it appears *while* you are editing in the
middle of the file?

If so, that's intentional to show that you have a syntax error, to
save you a compile. I admit it can be a little distracting at first,
but I find it helpful after a short while.

I do not believe there is currently an option to disable it.
