[Qt-creator] ctrl-shift-arrow selecting includes whitespaces

Hi,
I often use the key combination ctrl-shift-arrow for selecting text.
When I do this, all whitespace behind a word I select is included in the
selection.
I see this also happens in other editors and is normal behaviour.
Because when using ctrl-arrow to move passed words, it jumps to the
beginning of the next word.
What I would like is an option to treat (successive) whitespace as
words. In case between two words a tab, space and a tab is located, or 5
spaces after each other, they would be treated as one word.
Example:
int something(<space>, <space>, <space>, <tab>)= 5;
int, something, = and 5 are words, but treat (space, space, space, tab)
as one word also.
I've added an image (created with my great MSPaint-ing skills! :-) ) to
show my issue. 1 is the situation with nothing selected. I want to
select "int something". I put the cursor at the beginning of line 17,
hold ctrl-shift and with the arrow I tick twice to select the two words.
In 2 you can see the white spaces are also selected.
Kind regards,
Boy.
