Good decision, Alex!
There comes a tutorial with Qt, you'll find it in Qt Assistant in the Qt
Reference Documentation (Qt Tutorial 1 ... Qt Tutorial 14). It's worth
to start with this, won't take too much time to discover the power of
Qt's signal/slot paradigm.
